A Silverlight front end over WCF brokering requests to a pool of VMs each running a headless copy of the WPF sizing program, with a watchdog, an admin router, and generic external logins mapped to companies only on the inside.
Every sizing request from a customer went through the company's own engineers, because the sizing program was an internal desktop tool and its calculation code was the company's crown jewels.

External logins are generic, and the mapping from login to company exists only inside the internal system, so neither the calculation code nor the customer list is ever exposed.
Customers size their own machines. Deployed 2014 and in use for the decade after.
