ASP.NET Core over OData into a Delphi/InterBase back office: self-service ordering, Stripe payments with per-state fee rules, single sign-on, and a thirty-project .NET estate pulled into one solution.
A national pre-employment screening firm ran on a Delphi/InterBase back office with no way for a small employer to buy a screening without a salesperson. The back office worked and was not going to be replaced; everything new had to reach into it.
Profiles Express, a self-service ordering site: register, electronically sign the FCRA terms, add applicants by package type, pay by card with per-state fee rules, and pass through to the existing report portal without logging in again. ASP.NET Core over an OData transport layer into the Delphi back office. Around it: the field investigators' timesheet application, a shared single-sign-on library, and a consolidated data layer replacing code duplicated across four databases. Reorganised a thirty-project .NET estate into a single solution so it could go through Veracode security scanning.
Fourteen years of production. Argued against an eighteen-month Dynamics 365 replacement being sold to management, costed it, and documented the vendor's red flags. The firm kept what worked.
