What was wrong

A studio wanted to ship a real-money match-3 game through a licensed operator. Real-money gaming means nothing that affects payout can live in the browser, and the return-to-player maths has to be proven to a certification laboratory before anyone can play.

What I built

Separated client, game rules, gambling engine (RNG and pay tables) and wallet so nothing affecting payout lived in the browser, and designed the wire protocol carrying board, legal moves, cleared tokens, replacements and cascades. Built the simulation harness and maths model that proved return-to-player to the certification laboratory.

What happened

The simulation showed the existing payout structure was badly out, and the whole thing had to be re-derived before certification. Shipped through a licensed operator.
