The problem the business had

A studio wanted to ship a real-money match-3 game through a licensed operator. Real-money gaming means nothing that affects payout can live in the browser, and the return-to-player maths has to be proven to a certification laboratory before anyone can play.

What was done

Separated the game the player sees from the rules, the gambling engine and the wallet, so nothing affecting payout lived in the browser where it could be tampered with. Built the simulation harness and maths model that proved return-to-player to the certification laboratory.

What it returned

The simulation showed the existing payout structure was badly out, and the whole thing had to be re-derived before certification. Shipped through a licensed operator.
