A savings account inside the supermarket checkout lane, with every transaction tied to the store that took it so it lands in that store's end-of-day reconciliation, and a specification written to close the holes in the client's own.
A shopper should be able to sign up at the PIN pad with a cell number and PIN, then at any till pay from the account, deposit change, withdraw, gift to another member or donate to charity. Balances had to be held per retailer, and the client's own specification was full of holes that would have cost money to discover later.
Wrote the functional specification the build ran on, so everyone was building the same thing. Built the member site, the back end that authenticated members and cleared transactions, retailer reporting, and the PIN-pad integration at the till.
The member site went live and the checkout-lane side reached demo. Found and removed a dummy account that could have been used to move money out.
