Forty hand-edited flat files replaced with direct Bloomberg BLPAPI calls, futures screens with automatic rollover, and a years-old 'mouse flicker' bug traced to unreleased pointers in the vendor's .NET wrapper.

ASP.NET MVC member site, a clearing back end on Azure SQL with balances held per retailer, retailer reporting, and Ingenico PIN pad SDK integration at the till, all built from a functional spec I wrote to plug the holes in the client's.
A shopper should be able to sign up at the PIN pad with a cell number and PIN, then at any till pay from the account, deposit change, withdraw, gift to another member or donate to charity. Balances had to be held per retailer, and the client's own specification was full of holes.
Wrote the functional specification the build ran on. Built the member site, the back end that authenticated members and cleared transactions, retailer reporting, and the PIN-pad integration.
The member site went live and the checkout-lane side reached demo. Found and removed a dummy account that could have been used to move money out.
